The VersaHorse plans (including Stock, Pillory, and Pegasus Bench) are now complete. The Bill of Materials (BOM) and Construction steps are also up to date and accurate.

As always - your feedback and suggestions for improvement are welcome.

I recently discovered your plans for the VersaHorse, thank you for making them available.

I was reviewing the plans in regards to the Pegasus Bench armrest and can't figure out how the armrests are secured into the backrest. I understand you leave a 3-1/2" gap in the backrest by leaving out a ply of the laminate, but you have designed a "cutout" (for lack of a better description!) in the armrest ends that are inserted into the backrest. If you went through the trouble of cutting them out it must be for a reason! What am I missing?

You also mentioned on the VersaHorse download page that a user guide was also available. It wasn't included in the zip file, was that a misprint?

Great question! The User Guide would have been a big help - but we never got around to making one...I'll fix that.

To assemble the Pegasus Bench, first insert the studs on the ends of the Armrest braces into holes in the bench. Then the Armrest Notches lock into each other over over the Bench, and finally lay the Backrest onto the bench, aligning the cutout over the Armrests. Once bolted down, the Backrest will prevent the two Armrest notches from disengaging each other.

how tall is your model (female in the pics)? I want to surprise my wife with the versa horse and want to make sure the dimensions are fairly universal for most women. Also, on the pegasus, did you drill the galvanised pipe for the eye bolts or how do they attach? Thanks for the help and great plans!

Hera is 5'6". Yes, I we drill holes through the galvanized pipe for the eyebolts. A drill press is really handy for the operation, a bench vise would be a second choice.

Good luck with the project - and please let us know how it goes!
